Paula Edmunds

2nd - 3rd Grade Teacher

Hi, my name is Paula Edmunds. I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley with my family of 1 sister and 3 brothers. I married my husband M. Klyn Edmunds in 1976 and started our adventure. We have six children, three boys and three girls. Our first two boys are miracle babies. Our oldest has served his country in the Marine Corp for the last eight years and is now currently based in Connecticut as a recruiter for the Marines. Our second son now lives with us in Roosevelt and manages the fueling station in Myton. We had the privilege of adopting our three girls when they were ages 4, 5, and 6. They have brought such joy to our lives. They are now married and are raising six of our seven grandchildren. Our last son we adopted at age 12 and has graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City on a Sterling Scholarship. We moved to Sanpete County in the year 1999 and that is where we raised our last five children.

I worked for North Sanpete School District as a Paraprofessional, Substitute Teacher and in the Migrant Summer School for ten years. I decided to go back to college and pursue my education in Elementary Ed. I was a non-traditional student, being I was going back later in life. I loved learning and was very excited to teach children. I moved to Roosevelt in 2012 and started teaching at King's Peak Elementary where I have taught 3rd grade for the past three years.

I am so excited to start working at Athenian eAcademy. I love their curriculum and what they have to offer the students. I just finished a week long training at Snow College this summer and have come back with a wealth of knowledge and information for my students. I can't wait for school to begin. I have a great love for children and believe that everyone can learn and deserve the chance to show their self worth and their own individual ability. Every student has a unique way of learning, as a teacher I feel it my responsibility and opportunity to find the way to help each individual student to grow and learn. I feel at Athenian eAcademy, through their program each student will have a wonderful opportunity to achieve to their highest ability.
